Substitute Personnel & Business Services’ staff, with their own special brand of friendly and personal yet professional service, can find you a job (office, construction, etc.), or find you an employee; find you temp work, or send you a temp for a long-term assignment or for as little as four hours; send a fax, or receive one for you; typeset your resume, letter, manuscript, etc. and edit it, if you’d like; notarize your documents but no wills ( it’s not allowed in California); prepare your payrolls and even your periodic government payroll reports; balance your books and track your income and expenses and ... and ... and ...
Owned and operated by local Coco Kelly, this employment service can provide a solution to the endless task of finding just the right person for the job, saving you precious time and the stress and work-delays that can accompany the hiring process. Coke coordinates her time between bookkeeping and payroll clients with her expertise in that field, and heading up the Supported Employment Division of Substitute Personnel. Substitute Personnel has been successfully staffing office, construction, retail, labor and accounting positions since 1976 and are celebrating their 33rd Anniversary this year.
Marvin Buchmiller is the driving force behind the Supported Employment Division of Substitute Personnel. He locates jobs, trains and supports disabled clients with the love and strength necessary to ensure the success of this type of program. This process allows clients to increase their independence and self-respect by working, which spills over to enhance their personal lives. Marvin is available for any questions or to advise of your willingness to accommodate an employee with a disability. If you’re not sure with whom to speak, just call the office and you’ll be directed to the right person.
One of their staff will greet you and handle your in-house services needs in a friendly and respectful manner. Whether you need your resume done, a project, letter or newsletter typed, notary public services set up, an appointment scheduled, copies made, or faxes sent or received, talk with our front office staff to fill your needs.
Substitute has grown from solely a temp agency, to a full-service temporary and direct-hire agency serving the entire Tahoe basin, complemented by the professional in-house services mentioned above.
Substitute Personnel & Business Services is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – closed from 11:30 to 1:30 for lunches and dedicated work. They are willing to try to accommodate your schedule if your needs do not coincide with their regular hours, and want you to feel free to ask about making an appointment off-hours should the need arise.
